Getting There

  • Bus: This walk covers the first few miles of the South West Coast Path after reaching Falmouth, which is from Place to Gerrans on the Roseland Peninsular. Why do it as a circular walk? If you’re walking this section of the coast path as a continuous walk you’ll have to do it in summer, because you’ll need to take the ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes and then the summer only ferry to Place to pick up the coast path again. The closest you can get to Place out of season is Gerrans/Portscatho. There are two ways you can do this: take the ferry to St Mawes and then the First Kernow 50/51 bus to Portscatho, or take the First Kernow 50/51 bus from Truro.
  • Car: car park in Gerrans
